CIOMP held the forum on Micro Total Analysis System

To strengthen domestic and international cooperation among scientists in the field of micro total analysis systems, more than 40 experts and scholars across the world participated in the “ciomp - μ TAS forum” on July 4, 2017. This forum is hosted by Changchun institute of optics and precision mechanics and physics of the Chinese academy of sciences(CIOMP), and jointly hosted by the State Key Lab of Applied Optics and the Scientific Research Office.

 

Chaired by deputy director of the applied optics state key laboratory Mu Quanquan, the Vice President of CIOMP Zhang Tao, gave the welcome words. He warmly welcomed the arrival of experts and scholars, briefed the overall environment of CIOMP to the experts, and hoped that experts will be able to make a deeper understanding to lay the foundation for future cooperation.

 

In the forum, eight domestic and foreign scholars, including professor Andreas manz, founder ofμ TAS from Germany; professor Wang Erkang, academician of Chinese academy of sciences; professor Hao Jingcheng, the dean of chemistry department of Shandong University; Prof. Liu junshan from Dalian university of technology, professor Lin Bingcheng from Dalian institute of physics, Dr. Zhang Huidan from Harvard university, professor Wei Xueyong from Xi' an jiaotong university, and professor Xu Yi from Chongqing university, made presentations covering“Lab on chip-the playground is over- where the playground now is”、“Bipolar electrode system with ECL”、“Recent Progress of Magnetic Surfactants: Self-Assembly, properties and Functions”、“Fabrication of polymer electrochemical sensing microchips”、“Organ chip based bio-mimic”、“The application of high throughput microdroplet in biomedicine”、“Exploring nonlinear phenomena in micromechanical resonators to develop mems oscillators with improved short term stability”、“The microchip for highly multiplexed single cell protein secretion profiling”.

 

The hundred talent scholar of the Chinese academy of sciencesWu Wenmingmade the presentation of “recent progress in micro continuous PCR". In addition, "computational design methodology for nanotechnology with extension for nano - photonics" was made by another young scholar in the field Deng yongbo.


During the forum, the scholars and experts participated in a warm discussion, and create a good academic atmosphere for young scholars to better understand this area. The forum promoted the opportunities of cooperation, exchange, and in-depth study at home and abroad.
