Dr.Yu Guoyu as a Senior Research Fellow from University of Huddersfield visited us for academic exchange and presented a speech on Oct.12 who was invited by the 2nd Department of Airborne Optical Imaging and Measurement.

Dr.Yu is a specialist in optical engineering. His research work in optics has been cited worldwide and he has given invited talks at international conferences and research institutes. He is a member and reviewer of the Optical Society of America.Dr. Yu Guoyu delivered the speech at 14th floor meeting room in R&D building with subject Embracing the Industrial Revolution-Optical Fabrication.

In this seminar, Dr. Yu introduced research and development work at National Facility of Ultra Precision Surfaces at OpTIC,and recited details technology adopted at this centre and technical challenges and solutions. The focus of this seminar is to present their next move to face the emerging industrial revolution and approaches.

About 60 colleagues from different departments participated Dr. Yu's seminar. The attendees in depth discussed with Dr Yu and they exchange the academic experience for each other after the exhaustive presentation. Dr Yu expressed the wish to keep the close cooperation and exchange visit with some of research staffs as they are in the same field of study which got very positive respond.
