The head of Department Physical Electronics of Moscow State University (MSU), Russia, Professor Vladimir Chernysh, and his team visited CIOMP between 1-4 April 2019. The visit encompassed a range of activi ties, from laborato ry visits to the signing of cooperative agreements.

On 1 April, the delegation from MSU visited the Key Laboratory of Advanced Optical System Manufacturing Technology (KLOMT), where the latest scientific research achievements of KLOMT were exhibited to Professor Chernysh. Professor DENG Weijie from KLOMT hosted the welcoming ceremony for Professor Chernysh.

Professor Chernysh and Dr. Ieshkin gave presentations to introduce the applications of Gas Cluster Ion Beam technology and their research achievements in this field. Gas cluster ion beam is an arrestive technology which can be used to fabricate ultra-smooth surface.

On 4 April Deputy Director WANG Hui from CIOMP’s Division of International Cooperation hosted the signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement between CIOMP and MSU. The two institutions expect deep collaboration in the development of GCIB technology, especially in Optical manufacturing. Professor Chernysh was highly impressed by the speed and quality of CIOMP’s innovation capabilities.
