CIOMP jointly launches Red Flag Industry-Education-Research Innovation Alliance

The Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP) joined China First Automobile Works, Jilin University and Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry to launch the Red Flag Industry-Education-Research Innovation Alliance.

The establishment of the alliance was announced on July 13th at a press conference at the Changchun Red Flag Town sponsored by China FAW.

JIN Hong, deputy secretary of the party committee and secretary of discipline inspection commission of The CIOMP,  SUN Shouhong, special assistant to the president, and CHU Minghui, director of the intellectual property and achievement transformation division attended the event.

The alliance is set up on the principle of equality and voluntariness, open innovation, complementary advantages, and win-win cooperation. It aims to meet China FAW’s needs for technical innovations and enhance the overall competitiveness of the company.


The alliance aims to promote the integration of industry, education and research in the city of Changchun, establish an open automotive technology platform, formulate technical interface standards, formulate future automotive system integration and optimization verification standards, and formulate technical maturity standards.


The establishment of the automotive industry, education and research innovation fund was also announced at the press conference. The fund will aim to give full play to Changchun’s scientific and technological advantages, encourage collaboration among industry, education and research establishments, in order to establish an industrial innovation investment mechanism, as well as deep integration of government, industry, education and research.


Attending the press conference on behalf of CIOMP were JIN Hong, CIOMP Deputy Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Committee and Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission, SUN Shouhong, Special Assistant to the President, and CHU Minghui, Director of the Intellectual Property and Achievement Transformation Division.

Also present were WANG Kai, Changchun Municipal Party Secretary, LIU Xin, Mayor of Changchun, as well as other city officials and special guests.
