Sydney branch of LSA is formally launched

On 2nd February 2018, the Sydney office of Light: Science & Applications (hereinafter referred to as LSA) was formally launched under the auspices of Prof. Dayong Jin, a famous Australian young scientist.


Qiang Wang, the Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Australia, Karl Ziemelis, Nature’s Chief Physical Sciences Editor, and Oliver Graydon, Nature Photonics’ Editor-in-Chief were present at the scene. LSA’s director Yuhong Bai, managers Yaobiao Li and Zile Li went to Sydney on behalf of LSA’s headquarter.


Following LSA’s Shanghai, Beijing, Taiwan, Rochester, Singapore and Paris offices, Sydney office, LSA’s 7th regional/overseas branch will mainly focus on LSA’s Perspective column. Its runner Prof. Dayong Jin is renowned for winning Australia’s highest honor for scientists in 2017 - Prime Minister’s Malcolm McIntosh Prize for Physical Scientist of the Year.
