Hosted by: State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics
Brief Introduction:
The integration of materials with different electrical, optical, thermal and mechanical properties can be made into single fibers with complex structures and functions provides new opportunities for expanding applications in both civilian and military fields. In addition, the combination of fiber technology in photonics, sensing, nanofabrication and energy, and traditional textile manufacturing technologies will open up many possibilities. The future of fiber should be more seamlessly integrated into our daily life.Dr. Tao will introduce the latest achievements of advanced manufacturing functional fiber via the combination of materials engineering and structural engineering. This report alsoinclude the establishment of a new method to produce mechanical strong infrared optical fiber, the fiber material based on spherical instability and manufacturing of micro / nano structured particles and semiconductor device and so on the exploration of fibrosis.
