Report's Abstract:
The presentation gives an overview of the TRUMPF Group in general and its products in particular. It will be presented in details the machine tools with high-performance lasers and ultra short pulse lasers. In addition to lasers, the focus of the talk is also on their fields of applications. The talk will also provide an insight into the development of EUV laser sources for lithography.
Speakers' CV:
Dr. Andreas Popp is responsible for the Technology Scouting within the central R&D department of the TRUMPF Group. His industry focus includes the areas of laser technology, electronics and modern manufacturing technology, which includes manufacturing processes and processes as well as the digitization of the factory.
He studied physics at the Technical University of Munich and subsequently worked as a research assistant on the development of new laser beam sources at the Institut für Strahlwerkzeuge (IFSW) University of Stuttgart. Afterwards, he joined TRUMPF Machine Tools in 2011 as project manager for advanced development and expert for solid-state lasers.
