CAS Key Laboratory of Aviation Optical Imaging and Measurement (Department of Airborne Optical Imaging and Measurement Technology) is mainly engaged in researches and products development on aviation photoelectric platform, aerial camera, aviation warning device, aerial mapping and measurement equipment, visible light and infrared camera system and other technology.


In more than 20 years, we have developed a variety of specifications of airborne photoelectric systems that have been formed small batch production. The airborne photoelectric systems have been respectively applied to the ultra-short-range, short-range, medium-range, long-range unmanned aerial vehicles and the low to medium altitude, the medium to high altitude manned aircraft. In recent years, we have carried out the development of hyperspectral, active optical devicesand other novel type of photoelectric payload. We have created a number of “domestic first”: the first airborne optical monitoring and control station (2003), the first high-precision long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle photoelectric platform (2005), the first dual-mode laser/TV tracking system (2006), the first the low to medium and the medium to high transmission-type aerial camera(2009).


We have won two first prizes of National Award for Science and Technology Progress, four second prizes of National Award for Science and Technology Progress, five first prizes of Provincial and Ministerial Award for Science and Technology Progress, six second prizes and five third prizes. Department of Airborne Optical Imaging and Measurement Technology has become one of important bases in research and production on aviation optical imaging and measurement equipment in China.
