Here we keep our faith strong under the red bridge and work hard to explore and learn more about the science of light in the Research and Development Building. We follow the footsteps of our predecessors in the Daheng Building and build enterprises which are useful for our country’s development in the Incubator Base.

We spend days and nights working on projects, and overcome series of unspeakable difficulties to achieve success and hear heartfelt applauses.

Eight representative precision optical instruments and a series of new varieties of optical glass have amalgamated to form the “Eight pieces and one soup”;

All past achievements in these areas including missiles, nuclear bombs and the artificial satellite, manned spaceflight and Chang 'e lunar exploration, deep space exploration, speak to our expectations for the future.

It has gone through seventy extraordinary years, with a series of important scientific research achievements. It has cultivated tens of thousands of scientific researchers with painstaking efforts, and see them become the backbone technical personnel of China.

On the 70th birthday of Changchun Institute of Optics and Mechanics, we express our gratitude to those who have made unremitting efforts and did hard work in the past 70 years, and vow to take the torch from them and carry on.

With our feet firmly grounded in the new era, we look to the future.
