We see light everywhere in our daily life. Light from the sun, light from the torch, light from the flash... However, do you know what exactly light is?

According to the Bible, God commanded, “Let there be light,” and there was light. However, according to science, it didn’t happen for nearly half a million years. It was long after the Big Bang, the universe finally expanded large enough for photons to travel freely through it, and then we could see the” light”.

But our understanding of light does not stop right there. People are willing to study the nature of light through phenomena. Then we come to know light is a physical concept, and the essence of light is a photon which flows in a specific frequency range.

Therefore, we developed related instruments based on optical principles to enrich our lives. At the same time, with the in-depth study of optics, we also found that there is still a large part of optics that we know very little about.

When New China was first founded, a group of people who loved the motherland above all else devoted themselves to the great cause of optical research, and silently settled in the northeast of China. This is a group of great pioneers. And the CIOMP was established at that time, after 70 years of continuous development, China's optical industry has also begun to take its own place in the world, thanks to the selfless dedications of the earlier generations of scientists!
