My name is Rose. Although I am only a middle school student, I have a deep affinity with CIOMP. I grew up in the CIOMP neighborhood, a community which has all my wonderful childhood memories. My grandfather, grandmother and my mother all work in CIOMP. Whenever I talk about them with my friends, I always have a happy smile on my face. I am proud of my family.

My grandfather was engaged in scientific research here when he was young. My grandmother used to work there, too. They are enjoying their time in the University for the Elderly now. Although they have retired, their good qualities such as perseverance and tenacity have not been worn away by the years. My grandfather goes for walks in the South Lake Park twice a day and he’s always working on his oil paintings. My grandmother is the same, she never gives up easily. They also often teach me: whether it is for study or life, we should do everything conscientiously, strive to move forward, never shrink back! I sometimes visit my mother's office on holidays. The machines there look so shiny and interesting, but in my mother's hands, they are treasures for scientific development. My mother is my first teacher in all aspects.

CIOMP is the cradle of Chinese optics. I love everything here. I hope to become a member of the CIOMP in the future！
