An online seminar on laser spectroscopy technology and application was jointly organized by the State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics and the Office of International Cooperation at Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, on September 17, 2021.
Professor Zhongshan Li and Dr. Wubin Weng from Lund University, Sweden, Professor Wei Ren from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Dr. Qiang Wang, associate researcher of the State Key Laboratory of Applied Optics presented their recent research progressat the seminar, which was hosted by Dr. Qiang Wang.
At the seminar, Prof. Zhongshan Li first gave a talk entitled "Planar Laser-Induced Photofragmentation Fluorescence for Quantitative Imaging of KOH and NH3 in Combustion Environments", which mainly introduced PLIPFF (Planar Laser-Induced Photofragmentation Fluorescence) technique with the in-situ calibration approach for quantitative imaging of KOH and NH3 in combustion environments.
Prof. Wei Ren then gave a report titled "Infrared Laser Absorption Spectroscopy Combustion Diagnosis", which introduced in detail the basic principles and applications of spectral combustion, focusing on the research content of infrared laser spectroscopy, spectral combustion and diagnosis.
Dr. Wubin Weng’s paper had the title "Quantitative measurement in hot gas environment using UV absorption spectroscopy", which combined with his own post-doctoral research topic, introduced in detail the quantitative measurement method of UV absorption spectroscopy in high temperature gas environment.
Last but not least, Dr. Qiang Wang presented a report on "Deep Sea In-Situ Dissolved Gas Spectroscopic Detection", which introduced in detail the latest research progress in the field of deep-sea spectroscopy, and shared his research results in the fields of cavity ring-down spectroscopy and photoacoustic spectroscopy.
The seminar attracted many experts who carried out in-depth exchanges on topics of interest.
The Office of International Cooperation at CIOMP aimed to strengthen international communication and cooperation, such as joint research, exchange visits of high-level talents and joint training of postgraduates, between CIOMP and overseas partners through this seminar.
In the future, the Office of International Cooperation will also actively organize various scientific research departments to carry out online international exchanges, and continue to promote the internationalization of CIOMP.
