On 29th November, organized by the Division of International Cooperation of CIOMP, the Optical Technology Research Center held an online meeting with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which is discussing academic exchanges and scientific cooperation.

Prof. ZHANG Zhihui, the director of the State Key Laboratory of Ultra-precision Machining Technology, Mrs. WANG Hui, the deputy director of Division of International Cooperation, prof. DENG Weijie, associate prof. HU Haixiang from the Optical Technology Research Center attended this meeting.

Prof. ZHANG introduced detailed progresses of the State Key Laboratory and illustrated the scientific results in the field of precision instrument manufacturing, ultra-precision machining, free-form surface measurement, etc. He also shared the specific circumstance of the laboratory in recent years in the training of high-level talents, international cooperation and exchanges, industrialization development and awards.

Then both parties had in-depth exchanges on optical intelligent manufacturing and other fields of mutual interests. In addition, the potential of applying for joint projects was also discussed.

In the future, both parties will maintain the normal contact and exchanges. CIOMP will also enhance the cooperation with Hong Kong Polytechnic University in the fields of high technology and high-level talents visiting.
