Recently, the editorial office of Light: Advanced Manufacturing (LAM) journal received a notice from the Scopus review committee: the journal passed the strict review of the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) and was officially included in the Scopus database! The review comments not only affirmed the publication quality of LAM journals, but also pointed out that “this title addresses a subject area not properly covered by an existing journal”, and further recognized the important role of this journal in filling the publication gap in the subject field.

This index is after LAM was included by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) database, and it was once again included by a world-renowned database, marking that the academic level and influence of LAM has been widely recognized in academia and publishing.

About Scopus

Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles (22,794 active titles and 13,583 inactive titles) from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields: life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences, and health sciences. It covers three types of sources: book series, journals, and trade journals. All journals covered in the Scopus database are reviewed for sufficiently high quality each year according to four types of numerical quality measures for each title; those are h-Index, CiteScore, SJR (SCImago Journal Rank), and SNIP (Source Normalized Impact per Paper). Searches in Scopus also incorporate searches of the patent database Lexis-Nexis, albeit with limited functionality.

It is a sister journal of Nature-Light: Science & Applications, which officially publishes research papers in January 2021, is a fully open-access international journal, a new journal with a high starting point of the China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan, selected for the founding project of high-level English science and technology journals in Guangdong Province, included in Scopus, DOAJ, and selected in Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) "2022 China Excellent Periodicals Exhibition".
