+ The journal has scholarly relevance as evidenced by citations in other journals currently covered by Scopus.
+ This title addresses a subject area not properly covered by an existing journal.
Launched by Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Springer Nature in June 2021, eLight has been listed by Scopus and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics); it rapidly gained worldwide visibility, with its publications receiving average citation/download of 27 times/10,000 times per paper, which also attracted a total of 30 million reads across global social media.
