Recently, Prof. Minghui Hong, the previous head of Light Singapore Office, has left National University of Singapore (NUS) and joined Xiamen University, hence the head of Light Singapore Office has changed to Prof. Cheng-Wei Qiu from NUS, who is also Co-Editor-in-Chief of eLight, effective in January 2023.

On 13th March, Prof. Yuhong Bai, director of Light Publishing Group and Dr. Shuai Ding, assistant of Light: Advanced Manufacturing (LAM) Editor in Chief, visited Light Singapore Office at NUS.
Taking this chance, Prof. Bai, Prof. Qiu and Prof. Wolfgang Osten from University of Stuttgart, Co-Editor-in-Chief of LAM, had an Light: Science & Applications (LSA) - eLight - LAM Editors-in-Chief in-person meeting, discussed about the development and collaboration of the three journals in Light Publishing Group, and how the three journals can widely reach out to serve the wellbeing of global optics community.

Meanwhile, Prof. Qiu, Prof. Bai and Dr. Ding talked about the future moves of Light Singapore Office, including the interplay of ISPN 2023 (12th - 15th July, Singapore, Chaired by Prof. Cheng-Wei Qiu) with LSA, eLight and LAM.

During this visit in Singapore, Prof. Bai and Dr. Ding were invited to attend ICAPM 2023, which spotlighted the frontiers of visual sensing, machine vision, automation & robotics, intelligent transportation systems, biomedicine, human-computer interaction, as well as life science & engineering. Prof. Wolfgang Osten also served as the Chair of Holography Technologies Session. Through this conference, Prof. Bai and Dr. Ding invited manuscripts and did target promotion for Light Conference 2023, LSA, eLight, LAM, and in particular, for LAM’s Featured Issue on Celebrating Holography after 60 Years of Successful Application.
