From April 4 to 6, 2023, Wiphu Rujopakarn, Deputy Director of the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) led a delegation of 12 on a visit to CIOMP. The two sides exchanged ideas and discussed future in-depth cooperation in aerospace remote sensing and other fields. Professor ZHANG Xuejun, Vice President of Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics(CIOMP), welcomed the visiting delegation, accompanied by Professor XU Wei, Director of the Space New Technology Department, and Ms. WANG Hui, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the first phase of the Optoelectronic Information Industry Park, accompanied by Vice President ZHANG Xuejun. The delegation were shown some of the achievements made by CIOMP in recent years, such as the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and innovation of high-tech enterprises.
During the visit to the lab, the delegation gained a detailed understanding of CIOMP's technical capabilities and application achievements in large-diameter optical processing and testing. They were deeply impressed by the advanced instruments and equipment developed by our institute and looked forward to cooperation.

On April 5th, the delegation visited the exhibition hall and Boda Building of CIOMP, gaining a deeper understanding of CIOMP's history, which spans over70 glorious years, the national major scientific research projects we have participated in, as well as our current scientific research facilities and experimental conditions.
Later, accompanied by Director XU Wei, the delegation visited the Space New Technology Department and the Key Laboratory of Space-based Dynamic Rapid Optical Imaging Technology. The delegation visited the aerospace project jointly developed by both parties, was briefed on the latest engineering progress of the project, and both parties also held relevant technical discussions.

The delegation then visited the Third Department of Space Optics Research and learned about the advanced scientific research achievements of our institute in fields such as Mars exploration and deep space exploration.
During the visit to Cedar Electronic Technology Co., Ltd, the delegation learned about Cedar's technologically advanced products and expressed strong interest in related LED products, reaching a preliminary purchase intention.
On the afternoon of April 5, the two sides held an academic and technical exchange meeting, with over 20 scientific researchers from the fields of bilateral optical processing, optical design, micro nano optoelectronics, and other fields participating.

Thai researchers firstly exchanged views and introduced the recent developments in the mechanical manufacturing laboratory and optoelectronics laboratory of NARIT. CIOMP researchers then introduced the development direction and scientific research achievements of relevant scientific research departments and research fields respectively. Participants from both sides conducted in-depth exchanges and explorations on potential bilateral cooperation and interest directions.

The visit of the delegation from NARIT has comprehensively deepened bilateral understanding and understanding in the fields of aerospace remote sensing, optical manufacturing, and other fields. At the same time, both sides will take this visit as an opportunity to continuously promote multi-dimensional cooperation between CIOMP and NARIT in the construction of joint research units, bilateral international cooperation and exchange projects, high-end talent exchange visits, and joint graduate training, bringing bilateral cooperation to a new level.
