On April 25th, at the invitation of the International Cooperation Office and the Third Department of Aerospace Imaging and Measurement Technology Research, Dr. Chen Yuwei, the Chief Scientist of Remote Sensing Electronics at the Finnish Earth Space Research Institute, visited the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics(CIOMP), and gave an academic report entitled "Ubiquitous LiDAR Technology".
Based on his latest research achievements, Dr. Chen talked about the ubiquity of LiDAR technology and its applications, including the extensive applications of LiDAR in fields such as surveying and mapping, archaeology, geography, geomorphology, earthquakes, forestry, remote sensing, and atmospheric physics. Members of the audience welcomed Dr. Chen's report, describing it as rich in content and easy to understand.
Dr. Chen engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges around the content of the report with CIOMP members and reached preliminary cooperation intentions in related fields such as LiDAR technology.
He also visited the relevant CIOMP laboratories, and was given a better understanding of the research conditions and environment of the institute. Both sides look forward to improving communication and understanding in the future, and further strengthening in-depth cooperation in high-level talent exchange and international cooperation projects.
