The researchers from Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Peking University developed a new technique for upgrading the quality of topological insulator bismuth films for use in ultra-broadband photodetectors. This paper, entitled“Femtosecond laser upgrading the quality of bismuth films to enhance ultra－broadband photodetection”, was published in Optics Express.
Recently, the principal emailed a congratulatory letter on the paper being covered by several major media outlets, most notably PHYS.org. “The media coverage related to this article has a potential audience reach of at least 4.628 million worldwide.,” the letter added. It shows that this research result has been widely and highly concerned in the world.
