In recent years, the variance-based method of global sensitivity analysis (GSA) has been increasingly and widely used in various engineering applications, particularly spacecraft thermal design optimization. However, such estimations require many samples to ensure sufficient accuracy, which makes GSA expensive to perform when modeling is difficult. Moreover, multimodal or highly skewed output distribu
Recently, the liquid crystal adaptive optics research team from Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) has built a high-density integrated beam array generation system using Liquid Crystal Optical Phased Array (LCOPA). The number of sub-beams in the integrated beam array is 40×40, and the average pointing accuracy is less than 20μrad. This study is published on Optics Communications.
In a study published in Nanomaterials, Dr. ZHAO Zhen from Changchun Institute of Optic, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and his collaborators found that single uniform nanowire can be fabricated by femtosecond laser with the help of a groove.
In recent years, the study of in-plane anisotropic optoelectronic thin film materials has attracted a great deal of attention in the field of polarized optoelectronic applications due to their ability to be integrated and miniaturized. The existing anisotropic two-dimensional materials are limited in variety and mostly mechanically exfoliated, making it difficult to achieve large-area material preparation, which greatly limits their application in practical applications. Therefore, it is necessary to explore an artificial anisotropic thin film material with excellen
Anomaly detection in hyperspectral image is affected by redundant bands and the limited utilization capacity of spectral-spatial information. In this article, we propose a novel Improved Isolation Forest (IIF) algorithm based on the assumption that anomaly pixels are more susceptible to isolation than the background pixels. The proposed IIF is a modified version of the Isolation
Researchers led by Prof. XIONG Ling from Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP) of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) recently developed a pose-varied swing arm profilometer (pvSAP) with increased measurement accuracy for aspheric surfaces. Relevant results were published on Optics Letters.
